About the event
Join the Oconee River Land Trust and Women in Forestry Landowners group for a Hike and Happy Hour on Saturday, November 2nd from 2:00-5:00 PM. Sandy and Ken Cook will host the event on their 40-acre protected property on the Middle Oconee River in Jackson County. First, we'll explore beautiful mesic hardwood, oak-hickory-pine, and bottomland hardwood forests along the river. Afterwards, we'll enjoy a beverage and light snacks with our fellow conservationists and hear from Sandy and Ken about why conserving their land is so important to them.
We will also present ORLT’s annual awards to recipients who have been selected by ORLT’s Board of Directors for their commitment to land protection. We hope you’ll join us!
