Join ORLT for a hike on a beautiful 130-acre property in Madison County that was recently protected with a conservation easement. This scenic land has a clear-flowing stream, wetlands, and a spring-fed pond. The owners of this property, called Two Swallows Farm, were the 2025 recipients of ORLT's Steward Award for their effective and creative management of their property, including sustainable farming and forestry practices.
For the hike, we’ll walk on carefully crafted trails that meander through fields and a hardwood forest. Lauren Gingerella, former President of the Oconee Rivers Audubon Society, will help us identify and record bird species we see as we walk.
